He noted that the Transformer architecture has fallen into a death spiral of "scale belief".The core capability of on-device AI lies in native built-in memory and autonomous learning, which enable large models to continue evolving after deployment rather than remaining in a static state. True intelligence can only emerge when hardware possesses memory and autonomous learning, allowing different intelligences to collaborate and learn from one another, ultimately forming collective intelligence.
