WAIC 2026 Recap | RockAI Showcases Edge-Cloud Collaborative AI Agent and Full-Modal On-Device Intelligence

On July 20, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) successfully concluded. Centered around cutting-edge AI technologies and industrial applications, this year’s conference brought together numerous companies around the world to showcase their latest technological achievements and exchange insights on key areas including foundation models, intelligent devices, and embodied intelligence.


During the conference, RockAI showcased its edge-cloud collaborative AI Agent product, YanClaw; the omni-modal on-device foundation model, Yan 2.0 Preview+; and multi-industry commercialization solutions; highlighting advancements in on-device intelligence, omni-modal understanding, and real-world industry applications.
Edge-Cloud Collaborative AI Agent: YanClaw Enables Intelligence to be More Controllable, Cost-efficient, and Trustworthy
YanClaw is an edge-cloud collaborative AI agent system solution built on RockAI’s on-device foundation model Yan 2.0 Preview+. By balancing cost, security, and execution efficiency, YanClaw leverages core capabilities including edge-cloud collaboration, visualized task execution, and privacy protection to enable controllable, cost-efficient, and trustworthy AI applications in real-world scenarios.

Intelligent Routing and Edge-Cloud Collaboration:
Equipped with an intelligent routing mechanism, YanClaw supports intelligent coordination between on-device and cloud-based models, with access to multiple mainstream cloud-based foundation models and custom APIs. Frequently performed tasks are prioritized for local execution. YanClaw adopts differentiated token cost models for on-device and cloud-based processing—on-device processing does not incur token fees, while cloud-based processing follows a pay-as-needed model. This significantly reduces cloud API calls and optimizes overall usage costs.
End-to-End Visualized Task Execution:
YanClaw provides real-time visualization throughout the entire task workflow, clearly displaying progress, tool usage, and cost consumption. It is equipped with a data dashboard that provides detailed token usage insights and supports cost comparisons between on-device and cloud execution for the same tasks, clearly demonstrating the impact of cost optimization.
Data Security and Privacy Protection:
YanClaw intelligently manages data flows and integrates security detection mechanisms. Tasks involving privacy-sensitive information prioritize local model execution, supporting offline operation and local log storage to reduce the risk of sensitive data exposure while meeting compliance and data security requirements.
Skill Marketplace and One-Click Deployment:
With an integrated Skill Marketplace, YanClaw enables rapid deployment and expansion of both on-device and cloud-based skills. It supports hot loading and hot unloading of skills, allowing capabilities to be expanded and updated without restarting services.

Taking the “aipc-meeting-workflow” meeting skill as an example, the skill can intelligently understand meeting recordings, extract structured information, and generate English proposals based on the prompt. After users enter the email address, emails can be sent directly, enabling a one-stop workflow from information processing to task execution.
Yan 2.0 Preview+: A Faster, More Memory-Efficient Omni-Modal Foundation Model
YanClaw is built on RockAI’s on-device foundation model Yan 2.0 Preview+. Leveraging on-device intelligence, Yan 2.0 Preview+ improves efficiency and enables the AI agent to deliver high-performance support across scenarios such as office productivity and daily life.

As the latest version of the Yan architecture, Yan 2.0 Preview+ is a faster, more resource-efficient omni-modal foundation model designed for on-device and lightweight deployment. With lower resource consumption, it further improves processing capabilities across text, speech, image, and video, enabling efficient operation on end devices.
Commercial Applications: Continued Deployment in Healthcare and Agriculture
In terms of industry applications, RockAI has begun commercial deployment in sectors including healthcare and agriculture. Through generative intelligent medical record systems and smart agricultural management systems, RockAI provides AI-powered supports for industry advancement through intelligent technologies.


Healthcare: RockAI has partnered closely with E-Jet Medical to transform medical record workflows through generative AI. By applying large language models to automated medical record generation and end-to-end quality control, the solution improves medical record writing efficiency while reducing the risk of medical errors, while ensuring the security and compliance of diagnostic and treatment data. The solution is designed to serve as an AI-powered assistant, supporting clinical physicians in their daily workflows. It has already been deployed across more than 30 medical institutions in China.
Agriculture: RockAI has partnered with Bombus Intelligent Technology to focus on soilless cultivation scenarios involving greenhouse berries, fruits, and vegetables. Through on-device AI-powered intelligent management terminals, the solution enables functions including pest and disease prevention and farm operation coordination. It addresses key challenges in traditional farming, such as reliance on experience-based decisions and delayed responses, providing intelligent support for crop management in agricultural environments.

The robot powered by Yan 2.0 Preview+ was also showcased at this year’s conference. It features real-time perception, understanding, learning, and execution capabilities in real-world scenarios. Through visual and auditory understanding of human actions and voice intentions, they can quickly learn new actions on-device and transform them into executable robotic skills.
At WAIC 2026, RockAI showcased edge-cloud collaborative AI agent, omni-modal on-device intelligence, and commercialization practices powered by its foundation model Yan 2.0 Preview+. Moving forward, RockAI will continue advancing the integration of AI technology with real-world scenarios, enabling intelligent capabilities to be deployed across more industries.
